“We are defined and fed by the blood and the bread.” The writer of this short thought was pointing us to special times Jesus spent with his disciples during critical moments of his ministry to those 12 men. Pastor Elliott described two such special times in today's message. The first was their last Passover meal together just before Jesus' arrest and crucifixion (Matthew 4). The second was the meal which occured by the Sea of Galilee mere days after His resurrection (John 21) - Jesus once again called His disciples to follow Him, and outlined the price they would pay in doing so.
